Essential Patient Information

Please read this information well before your appointment to ensure you have a wonderful experience

Opt for comfortable, loose attire allowing for easy sleeve access above the elbow for the IV line.

Consume a full meal and stay hydrated before arriving. Proper hydration ensures a smoother and more seamless IV process.

Patients with cardiac or renal concerns should consult their physician regarding appropriate pre-infusion fluid intake.

3. Understanding IV infusions

An IV infusion transports vital fluids or medication directly into the circulatory system via a thin, flexible tube termed a cannula.
What to Expect:
A skilled nurse or midwife will place the cannula into a suitable vein, typically located in the arm.
A guide needle places the cannula and is immediately retracted, leaving only the soft tubing.
A sterile film holds the cannula in place while the fluids are administered.
Once complete, the cannula is withdrawn and steady pressure is held to ensure healing.

4. Post-Infusion Care:

Minor bruising or sensitivity at the site is common and should fade within a few days.
While rare, please monitor for potential infection. Check for localized heat, pain, or redness for 7 days.
If symptoms develop, please notify your healthcare provider immediately.

5. Clinic Policies and Payments

Settlement is required at the time of service. We accept Visa, Mastercard, AMEX and EFTPOS only.

Complimentary Wi-Fi is provided for all patients during their stay.

As we lack childcare services, we kindly ask you to make off-site arrangements for children.

We are only able to provide services for those 16 years or older. Should you have concerns regarding this limit, please contact us to discuss.

To respect everyone's privacy, all visitors must remain in the waiting area during treatments. Only patients will be allowed into the treatment room.

6. Cancellation policy

We require 24 hours notice if you are unable to attend.

If an appointment requires rescheduling (e.g. due to having unsupervised children, not having a referral or the required medication), a rescheduling fee of $100 per booked hour will be applied prior to rebooking your appointment.
